Disclaimer for Weather-Related Cancellations and Unreachable Lodge Conditions
When a resort becomes unreachable due to weather, it's a frustrating situation for both guests and the resort. Please read this policy carefully as it outlines our procedures regarding cancellations due to severe weather conditions that may render our lodge unreachable. Force Majeure Events: Our resort shall not be held liable or responsible for any failure to fulfill our obligations under your reservation, nor for any damages, losses, or expenses, if such failure is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These "Force Majeure" events include, but are not limited to, acts of God (such as hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other extreme weather events), natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, civil unrest, war, or acts of terrorism..
Unreachable Resort Conditions:
In the event that severe weather conditions, as determined by local authorities or our management, make the resort genuinely unreachable or unsafe for guests to access (e.g., due to road closures, strong wind and high waves, impassable routes, or direct threat to property/life), the following will apply: * Full Refund: Guests with confirmed bookings affected by such conditions will be offered a full refund for any prepaid nights that cannot be utilized. In situations, when the information could be obtained only after the guest started their travel to the island by land or by boat and the Greenhouse EcoLodge has to cover incurrend cost of third party service providers, these cost are non- refundabel, but shall be kept at a minimumlevel. * Credit for Future Stay: As an alternative to a refund, guests may opt for a credit equal to the value of their unused booking, redeemable for a future stay at our resort within 12 months from the original check-in date, subject to availability * No Penalties: We will waive any cancellation fees or penalties that would normally apply. In case the guest cannot leave the premises as planned, the lodge will not charge accommodation costs for the extended stay only, but will charge for meals, beverages, activities , service fees etc. Higher costs for individual chartered boats or land on guests requests will not be refundedby the lodge.
Guest Responsibility:
We strongly recommend that all guests consider purchasing
comprehensive travel insurance that covers unforeseen
circumstances, including weather-related disruptions and resort
unreachability. This can provide additional protection for your travel
investment.
Communicaition:
In the event of severe weather impacting access to the resort, we will
endeavor to contact affected guests as soon as possible via the
contact details provided at the time of booking. We will particular
inform guest in the morning of arrival day until 07.00 AM if the
conditions make the lodge unreachable on at that specific day.
In situations, when the information could be obtained only after the
guest started their travel to the island by land or by boat and the
Greenhouse EcoLodge has to cover incurrend cost of third party
service providers, these cost are non- refundable.
Management Discretion:
All decisions regarding refunds, credits, and cancellations due to
weather-related unreachability will be made at the sole discretion of
GreenHouse EcoLodge management, based on the safety and
well-being of our guests and staff.

* Check-in/Check-out: Check-in is typically from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, and check-out is from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.
* Cancellation and Prepayment: Policies vary depending on the accommodation type.
* Damage Deposit: A refundable damage deposit (e.g., MYR 100) is usually required upon arrival, collected as cash, and reimbursed upon check-out after property inspection.
* Age Restriction: The minimum age for check-in is 18.
* Groups: Different policies and additional supplements may apply when booking more than 3 rooms.
* Payment Methods: Cash is accepted, and credit card charges may be subject to a surcharge (e.g., 2%).
